The District concluded October and November in a stable financial and operational position. Revenues were slightly ahead of budget, cash reserves remained strong at $18.8 million, and customer delinquency levels stayed low. A major legal milestone was achieved with a unanimous jury ruling in favor of the District and Boyne in the Cottonwood reclaimed water lawsuit, reaffirming the integrity of the District’s Class A-1 reuse program and reinforcing Big Sky’s standing as Montana’s largest zero-discharge community. Capital projects continued progressing, including asset management implementation, solids handling planning, and system modernization efforts.

Operational activity remained high across departments. Water production increased significantly in November across most sources, while crews completed well abandonments, PRV vault repairs, system winterization, meter troubleshooting, and ongoing OpenGov integration. The Collection & Distribution team completed more than 150 locates, sewer inspections, aeration pond air line removal, and a golf course irrigation main break repair. The District remains focused on infrastructure reliability, regulatory compliance, and long-term resource stewardship.
