Big Sky County Water & Sewer District 363 remained in a strong and stable position through March 2026, with reliable system performance, full regulatory compliance, and continued financial stability. Revenues were modestly above budget, with year-to-date operating revenue at about $4.33 million, while operating expenses remained above expectations in sewer operations, repairs and maintenance, and professional services. Cash reserves totaled approximately $18.6 million, and the District continued planning for the FY 2026–2027 budget, capital improvements, and long-term asset management.
Operationally, the Water Reclamation and Reuse Facility treated 21.9 million gallons of wastewater in March, achieving 99.2% BOD removal and 99.7% TSS removal while continuing to support reuse operations. Water production was up 18.4% compared with the same period in 2025, and monthly water sampling showed no detectable E. coli or coliform bacteria. Permitting activity increased with eight permits reviewed and six more in the queue, while community outreach continued through newsletters, regional media coverage, and planning for the September 2026 “District on Tap” event.
