Proactive maintenance today helps prevent backups and costly repairs tomorrow.
Beginning the week of August 17 and running through end of September, the District and contractor Tru Pipe, Inc. will be cleaning and inspecting sewer mains throughout Spanish Peaks as part of our annual preventative maintenance program. Crews will use specialized cleaning equipment and closed-circuit television (CCTV) cameras to inspect underground pipes and identify potential issues before they become larger problems.
What Residents May Notice
- Maintenance and vacuum trucks in the area
- Temporary equipment noise
- Crews accessing sewer manholes within easements and rights-of-way
- Occasional odors or gurgling from plumbing fixtures during cleaning
A quick homeowner tip: Sewer cleaning can temporarily move air through household plumbing. Keep toilet lids closed and make sure floor drains contain water. Gurgling during the work is generally normal and temporary.
